Lola's House Terms Of Service & List Of Dogs & Breeds We Cannot Accomodate

This page sets out our Terms of Service, which explain how we work, what we expect from owners, and how we keep every dog safe and happy.


We love all dogs, but some breeds aren’t suited to the calm, structured environment at Lola’s House — you’ll find a list of these breeds at the bottom of the page for your reference.

Boarding & Daycare Terms

All enquiries and bookings with Lola’s House are subject to these Terms of Service. Submission of the Client Details Form is acceptance of these terms. Your continued use of our services confirms your acceptance of these terms each time you make a booking with Lola’s House.


Lola’s House is a trading name of Lola’s Legacy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No: 14348835). All references to Lola’s House in this agreement refer to Lola’s Legacy Ltd.


These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you, the dog owner, and us, Lola’s House.


Your Booking

  1. Bookings are not confirmed until you receive booking confirmation via WhatsApp or email.
  2. We may ask for a non-refundable 50% deposit if the booking is during a busy period or is over 2 nights.
  3. If you cancel your booking within 7 days of the start date, you must pay the remaining 50% balance.
  4. Bookings made on bank holidays are charged at 1.5x the normal rate. Bookings made on 25th December, 31st December, and 1st January are charged at 2x the normal rate.
  5. Payment is due no later than 2 business days after the end date of the booking, unless otherwise agreed. Different payment options may be available.
  6. We accept debit card, cash, or direct transfer via invoice.
  7. You agree to complete our Client Details Form.
  8. Each booking is subject to a meet and greet consultation. We must be mutually satisfied with the consultation before a booking is confirmed.
  9. All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, worming, tick, and flea treatments. You must provide us with the vaccination record at the start of each board.
  10. There is no minimum or maximum booking duration.
  11. Our current rates are stated on our website.
  12. In the event of an emergency where we are unable to proceed with a booking, we will contact you and/or your emergency contact and make sure your dog is considered in every decision. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to cancel the booking and refund any deposit without liability to Lola’s House.


Your Dog Details

  1. You agree to provide a full, detailed, and honest description of your dog in the Client Details Form and to keep us informed of any changes during your continued use of our services.
  2. Failure to disclose any matter, whether material or not, which in our view may render your dog unsuitable for boarding with Lola’s House, may result in refusal, cancellation, termination of the booking, or transfer to alternative boarding at your expense.
  3. We are unable to accept dogs with aggression problems towards other dogs or people and subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
  4. We are happy to accept bookings for unspayed bitches. However, if you believe your dog is due in season during her booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and refund any deposit at our discretion.
  5. We do not accept bookings for unneutered dogs over the age of 12 months.
  6. You confirm that your dog is non-aggressive. If your dog shows aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or people during the booking and cannot be collected by you or your emergency contact, you accept that your dog may be placed in a boarding kennel until your return. This will be subject to a £20 transfer charge payable by you upon your return. No refund of boarding fees paid to Lola’s House will be given, and any additional kennel fees will be payable by you.
  7. You confirm that you have disclosed any known dangers associated with your dog.
  8. You agree that if your dog’s behaviour becomes uncontrollable, destructive, or unreasonable and the dog cannot be collected by you or your emergency contact, your dog may be placed in a boarding kennel until your return. This will be subject to a £20 transfer charge payable by you. No refund of boarding fees paid to Lola’s House will be given, and any additional kennel fees will be payable by you. In addition, you agree to pay the cost of any damage caused by your dog to our home, possessions, or property.
  9. If you agree to your dog being exercised off lead, this must be clearly noted on the Client Details Form. In doing so, you accept responsibility for third-party liability.
  10. Your dog is expected to be under control at all times, trained, and not over-boisterous in the home.
  11. You confirm that you are the legal owner of your dog.
  12. You confirm that your dog has not been ill with any contagious disease or condition within the past 30 days and has received all necessary vaccinations.
  13. You understand and accept that, under no circumstances, will Lola’s House be liable for consequential damages or damages beyond the replacement value of your dog.


Veterinary Details

  1. Lola’s House will use all reasonable care and experience to ensure the safety and happiness of your dog. If your dog becomes unwell or has an accident during the booking, we will take them to a veterinary surgery.
  2. You authorise Lola’s House, acting on advice from a qualified veterinary surgeon, to make decisions regarding your dog’s health and welfare where we are acting in your dog’s best interests and you or your emergency contact cannot be reached.
  3. We will make every effort to take your dog to their usual veterinary practice. However, in an emergency, you consent to us taking your dog to the nearest suitable veterinary practice.
  4. You agree to be responsible for payment of all veterinary fees incurred during or arising from your dog’s stay.
  5. You agree that if your dog attacks, or is involved in a fight with, another dog and/or person causing injury, you will be responsible for any losses incurred as a result, including but not limited to veterinary fees in respect of injury to another animal caused by your dog.
  6. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst the dog is in the care of Lola’s House.
  7. Damage to the Carer’s Property
  8. Your dog must not be known to chew, scratch, or destroy furniture or house fittings under normal circumstances.
  9. If your dog’s behaviour becomes uncontrollable, destructive, or unreasonable and cannot be collected by your emergency contact, you accept that they may be placed in a boarding kennel at your own expense and will be subject to a £20 transfer charge.
  10. Any damage caused by your dog to our home, possessions, fixtures, fittings, or property, other than reasonable wear and tear, must be paid for by you.


Your Dog’s Stay

  1. You agree to deliver your dog in a clean and groomed condition. Any dog requiring regular grooming should be accompanied by appropriate grooming equipment.
  2. You agree to provide enough food for the entire duration of the stay, any treats allowed, your dog’s own bedding, any medication required, toys, lead, and any other material requirements your dog may need, or items that may help your dog settle.
  3. If insufficient food is supplied at the start of the board, you agree to reimburse us for any costs incurred in purchasing more food.
  4. If, after 2 weeks following your stated return date, you have not returned to collect your dog and every attempt has been made to contact you and your emergency contact without success, your dog may be put up for rehoming.
  5. Lola’s House reserves the right at all times to refuse, pause, cancel, or terminate access to our services if, in our professional opinion, a dog is unsuitable for the environment. This may include, but is not limited to, cases of separation anxiety, destructive behaviour, excessive vocalisation, aggression, or signs of distress.
  6. We may refuse or end access without liability, with or without notice, if we believe it is in the best interests of the dog, other dogs in our care, or the household. This applies even if a booking has been confirmed and a deposit has been paid. In such cases, any refund of deposit is entirely at our discretion.
  7. You agree that your dog will socialise with other dogs and accept the risks involved. You agree that Lola’s House is not liable for any illness, injury, or loss resulting during your dog’s stay.


Insurance

  1. Lola’s House is covered by business public liability insurance.
  2. This insurance does not cover any costs that may be incurred, whether veterinary or otherwise, as a result of sickness, accident, injury, or damage caused to or by any guest dog.
  3. It is recommended, but not essential, that clients take out their own veterinary insurance.

Puppy Programme Terms

All enquiries and bookings for the Puppy Programme with Lola’s House are subject to these Terms of Service. Submission of the Client Details Form, payment of any instalment, and continued participation in the programme confirms your acceptance of these terms.

Programme Structure & Commitment

  1. The Puppy Programme is a structured training and socialisation programme delivered over an 8-week period, consisting of:
  • Six one-to-one training sessions
  • Two structured socialisation daycare sessions

By enrolling in the Puppy Programme, you are committing to the full programme.


Payments

  1. Payment is split into two instalments:
    1. The first instalment is due prior to the first session
    2. The second instalment is due after the fourth training session
  1. All payments are non-refundable once made.
  2. By paying the first instalment, you are agreeing to complete payment for the full Puppy Programme, regardless of attendance, participation, or completion.
  3. Failure to complete payment may result in:
    • Immediate suspension of the programme
    • Refusal of further sessions or services
    • Recovery of outstanding balances


    Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

    1. A minimum of 48 hours’ noticeis required to cancel or reschedule a session.
    2. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be forfeited and charged in full.
    3. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 2 weeks, subject to availability.
    4. If sessions are missed due to:
    • Illness
    • Owner unavailability
    • Dog in season

    They may be rescheduled provided sufficient notice is given.


    Programme Suitability & Behaviour

    1. The Puppy Programme is designed for dogs suitable for structured training and socialisation.
    2. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any dog from the programme at any time if, in our professional opinion, the dog is:
    3. Overstimulated
    4. Disruptive
    5. Unsafe around other dogs
    6. Not suitable for the environment

    Where a dog is removed:

    • Access to the programme will be terminated
    • No refunds will be issued
    • No further sessions will be provided


    Age & Eligibility

    1. The Puppy Programme is intended for young puppies at an appropriate developmental stage.
    2. We reserve the right to:
    • Refuse access
    • Decline bookings
    • Remove participation

    based on age, development, behaviour, or suitability.


    Owner Responsibility & Results

    1. You acknowledge that:
    • Results are dependent on your consistency and implementation
    • You are responsible for following all guidance provided
    • We do not guarantee specific behavioural outcomes

    Failure to follow guidance may impact results, for which Lola’s House accepts no responsibility.


      WhatsApp Support

      • WhatsApp support is included throughout the programme
      • Support is available within reasonable hours
      • We aim to respond promptly but do not guarantee response times

      We reserve the right to limit or withdraw support if communication becomes excessive, unreasonable, or inappropriate.


      Photos & Media

      1. You consent to Lola’s House taking and using photographs and videos of your dog for:
      • Website
      • Social media
      • Marketing and promotional materials

      If you do not wish for your dog to be included, you must notify us in writing prior to participation.


      Health & Welfare

      • Your dog must be fully vaccinated and free from contagious illness
      • You must disclose all relevant health and behavioural information
      1. If your dog becomes unwell or unsafe during the programme, we reserve the right to pause or terminate participation.


      Liability & Risk

      1. All training and socialisation activities are undertaken at your own risk.

      Lola’s House is not liable for:

      • Injury
      • Illness
      • Behavioural outcomes
      • Loss or damage

      arising from participation in the programme.


      Professional Discretion

      1. We reserve the right at all times to:
      • Refuse entry
      • Pause participation
      • Terminate the programme

      without liability if, in our professional opinion, it is not suitable for the dog, owner, or environment.

      Training Programme & Agility Terms

      All bookings for training sessions and agility sessions with Lola’s House are subject to these Terms of Service. Booking and payment confirm acceptance of these terms.

      These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you, the dog owner, and us, Lola’s House.


      Bookings & Payments

      1. All sessions must be paid in advance
      2. Bookings are confirmed once payment is received
      3. All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated


        Cancellations & Rescheduling

        1. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule
        2. Late cancellations or missed sessions will result in loss of the session and full charge
        3. If a session is cancelled by Lola’s House due to:
        • Weather
        • Illness
        • Unforeseen circumstances

        It will be rescheduled at no additional cost.


        Session Structure

        1. Sessions are conducted on a one-dog basis
        2. Multi-dog sessions are at our discretion and may incur additional charges
        3. Sessions may be carried out:
        • With the owner present
        • Without the owner present


        Owner Absence

        1. Where sessions are conducted without the owner present:
        • You are granting full permission for us to handle and work your dog
        • You accept full responsibility for this arrangement
        • You accept all risks associated with training and handling


        Behaviour & Control

        1. We reserve the right to stop a session immediately if a dog is:
        • Unsafe
        • Uncontrollable
        • Aggressive
        • Not responding appropriately

        In these circumstances:

        • The session will end immediately
        • No refund will be issued


        Owner Responsibility & Results

        1. You acknowledge that:
        • Results are dependent on your consistency and implementation
        • You are responsible for following all guidance provided
        • We do not guarantee specific behavioural outcomes

        Failure to follow guidance may impact results, for which Lola’s House accepts no responsibility.


        Liability & Risk

        1. All training and agility activities are undertaken entirely at the owner’s risk.
        2. This includes, but is not limited to:
        • Off-lead work
        • Use of agility equipment
        • Physical exercise
        • Environmental exposure

        Lola’s House accepts no liability for:

        • Injury
        • Loss
        • Damage
        • Behavioural outcomes

        arising from participation in sessions.


        Agility Sessions Specific

        1. Agility sessions are designed as structured enrichment and not competition-level training.
        2. You accept that:
        • Your dog will use equipment such as jumps, tunnels, and platforms
        • There is inherent physical risk in these activities

        Participation is entirely at your own risk.


        Transport

        1. Collection and drop-off may be available at an additional cost
        2. Charges are based on distance and confirmed in advance


          Health & Welfare

          1. Dogs must be fit, healthy, and suitable for training and physical activity
          2. You must disclose any health or behavioural issues
          3. We reserve the right to refuse or stop sessions if a dog is not suitable.


          Professional Discretion

          1. We reserve the right at any time to:
          • Refuse bookings
          • Stop sessions
          • Decline further work

          without liability if, in our professional opinion, it is not appropriate or safe to continue.

          Dogs And Breeds We Cannot Accomodate

          At Lola’s House, we truly love and respect all dogs. However, to maintain the calm and structured environment that makes our setting unique, some breeds are not suitable for our boarding & daycare services. These include:


          German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd

          Cane Corso

          Bullmastiff

          American Bulldog

          Dobermann

          Japanese Akita / American Akita

          Rottweiler

          Giant Schnauzer

          Any breed banned under UK law

          Any generation of Wolfdog

          Protection or guard dogs

          Please note: All breeds are welcome in our Puppy and Training Programmes. These services are designed to support owners and dogs of every breed and background.
